Outstanding performances for the satmarians at the first edition of the Autonet Cup
The "Alexandru Csipler" Fencing Hall in Satu Mare hosted the first edition of the Autonet Cup, where over 100 children from 6 clubs competed for victory last weekend.
In addition to the fencers of the Sports Club and the High School with Sports Program Satu Mare, athletes from Oradea, Brașov and Târgu Mureș participated in the Autonet Cup, totaling over 100 children. The Autonet Cup was held in 3 separate age categories, each category having a separate branch for boys and girls.
The students of the Satmar coaches Ferenc Csiszár, Nagy Lehel, Adrian Pop, Adrian Szilágyi, Simona Surducan (CS SM) and Rudolf Szabó (LPS SM) had a remarkable performance, winning in every category except one.
"We want to create a tradition through the Autonet Cup, because this competition is a preparation but also an ideal evaluation for children before the National Championship in Bucharest, which takes place every year at the end of June. For future editions, we want to invite clubs from abroad to attract as much talent as possible and to create an international competition.." - said Lehel Nagy, coach of CS Satu Mare.
